Restaurant Botanic takes out Gourmet Traveller Best SA Restaurant.
After our extensive renovation earlier this year thanks to Designer WBL (Williams Burton Leopardi), the re-branded Restaurant Botanic opened its doors in July 2021 with a new look and a new chef at the helm. To then be recognised so quickly as industry leader in South Australia, has been fantastic.
Justin James as the executive chef, has been excited to bring the new Restaurant Botanic to a level of fine dining that exceeded anything that was already available in Adelaide.
The entire team have worked hard and strived for providing a service that stands out and leaves an everlasting memory for every customer that walks through the door. Justin has a vison to create an experience exploring all five senses based on time and place. As the seasons change around us here at Restaurant Botanic, Justin is excited to evolve the menu (and the experience) with the seasons so that we can not only visually see the garden’s beauty change but taste the changes at all times of the year.
It was important to us that the updated design took inspiration from our surrounds of the Adelaide Botanic Garden. Plenty of natural elements used and hues of green and brown helped to bring the feeling of nature inside the heritage teahouse.
All this hard work and determination has been rewarded as we are proud to have been named Gourmet Travellers’ South Australia’s restaurant of the year 2022. This is a wonderful achievement amongst such talent and plenty of other beautiful venues here in Adelaide.
Our team are only just getting started and we can’t wait to show you all we have in store for the future.
